Steam Deck Client Beta Update: Install, navigation, and desktop mode fixes

Note: This update is for the Steam Deck Beta and Preview channels, and includes new features that are still being tested. You can opt into this in Settings > System > Steam Update Channel.

General:

When installing a game always show the install location picker if there is more than one library folder, and automatically focus the default library folder when the dialog shows up
Fixed issue where Steam would be unable to connect in some cases after suspend/resume
Fixed issues where the main window would close and then be reloaded:
- When selecting a friend in the previously or recently played
- When selecting a guide in a game's Community Feed
- When selecting the "Downloading" label on a game's detail page

Desktop Mode:

Center the popup controller configurator window when viewing controller layout
Fixed the old version of Big Picture Mode opening when hitting the Steam/Guide button on the Steam window
Fixed recently played games not showing up in the Recent Games shelf in library

Steam Deck Client Beta Update: Regression Fixes

Fixed issue where the re-order controllers dialog stopped working from the Quick Access menu
Fixed issue in Desktop mode where the Steam Library was not loading properly
Fixed issue where launching a game would take longer to start if there was no network connection.

Steam Deck Client Beta Update: Wednesday Fixes

Fixed some instances where focus was lost
More improvements to reduce login time for users with large libraries
Fixed issue where spotlighted games in the What's New section could not be interacted with
Fixed some issues with trackpad typing
Updated Steam Controller LB and RB button images
Fixed Main Menu not adjusting size/position when adjusting UI scale
Fixed recently exported Controller Layout Templates not showing up in the Layout Browser
Fixed issue with sign in refresh UI when the user had already signed in once during the current session
All controller types can each now optionally choose to use a Nintendo-style layout. This flips the A and B button and X and Y button universally in Steam and in games.

Steam Deck Client Beta Update: QR code login, Steam Input, and more

Updated Big Picture is now available for testing. You can read more about it in this blog post.
Added login flow that supports new QR code functionality
Collections view can now show more than two rows of collections and allow scrolling
Navigating down through app activity won't start scrolling up when passing over the post activity box
Reduced client load times for users with large game libraries
Reduced size of Steam client download
Fixed incorrectly sized Discovery Queue UI
Fixed incorrect size of Main Menu in docked mode with 4k displays
Fixed an issue where some dialogs opened from menus only responded to touch
Fixed an issue where the “Switch to Desktop” option would not work
Fixed library view on certain resolutions not scrolling with gamepad
Fixed bluetooth failing to turn on in gaming mode if it was disabled in desktop mode

Steam Input

Fixed doubled input for Nintendo Joy-Cons controllers
Gyro Yaw & Roll Combined now allows negative contribution values from both sources.
FlickStick output can now be Inverted, and can be sent to X or Y Mouse axis.
Fix for FlickStick turning when exiting an overlay layer with the stick still thrown.
Desktop Controller Layout Now defaults to a desktop friendly set of controls. Long-Pressing Menu Button will toggle back and forth to a Gamepad friendly layout.

Steam Deck Client Beta Update: Cloud Sync fix

Note: This update is for the Steam Deck Beta and Preview channels, and includes new features that are still being tested. You can opt into this in Settings > System > Steam Update Channel.

Fixed issue with Cloud Sync conflict dialog not working properly
Fixed the main menu and the quick access menu having incorrect dimensions on some displays
Moved external display safe mode toggle to Settings > Display
